Thank you for the great review of the hike. I put on my list to do. Is it steep in many areas? And any hint on accommodation? Prebook or go with the flow?
You’re welcome and hope you can experience it! There are some moderate climbs but the paths are mostly generous in width and well maintained.
On Friday I will be posting a country guide that will go into my recommended accommodations, etc. stay tuned for that.
You can either pre book or go with the flow. There is easy public bus system so if you do hike further than your booked lodging you can always catch a quick bus and another the next morning to resume where you left off.
So intriguing — I’d like to be brave like you. Thank you for the vivid detail and those beautiful photos — you made me start envisioning it step by step. Cheering you on from here. It’s such a reminder of why I chose a slow travel life too: the best discoveries only come when you take the long way...
Congrats on completing the route. I did just a small part of it, from Vaduz up to Triesenberg. So beautiful going up those trails in the summer. Such an odd country, historically, so unlikely to have ended up being one of the wealthiest places on the planet.
Thanks, Brad. That is a great part of the trail you did. Nice variety of forest, views, etc. I agree, it’s a fascinating country for many reasons, its wealth/success just one of them.
I'd never given Liechtenstein much thought, so I very much enjoyed the tour!
Thanks, Michael!

Nice nice. A bit far from my home in Japan but always wanted to visit that part of the world.

Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate you joining me on the walk, in a sense.
Enjoyable article, Scott. Thank you for sharing! I've filed it away so I check out the trail on my next (summertime) trip to Europe. 🌞
Glad you enjoyed it and hope you are able to check it out.
Me too! 😄

I’m currently writing of my 1200km ish walk across France last year. I hadn’t heard of this one so I will add it to my to do list. ✅
Absolutely, look forward to reading more about yours too!
