I was in Luang Prubang about a month ago and I think you captured the feeling of the city perfectly. It was my favourite place in Laos, very peaceful. Thankfully I wasn't haunted by any spirits during my stay, only by a few backpackers I kept bumping into.
Wow, what an amazing story! And beautifully written. I wonder what ghosts were lurking in your annex. Thanks for sharing your experience! The part about the tourists from Thailand with their elephant pants made me laugh. I bought an elephant sarong haha.
👀 Sounds like an intense experience. I'm glad your second night was softer.
Thanks, yeah, I was relieved too.
Spirits need orange Fanta. This is a documented fact. They would have left you alone if you’d left a bowl of it outside your door.
Haha, now I know for next time, thanks!

Some backpackers do have a way of haunting, though. I'm glad you enjoyed it, it's my favorite city in Laos as well. Enjoy your travels.

Thank you so much! Haha, no judgment here, elephant prints are pretty much everywhere in Southeast Asia. Hard to resist.
